DVD ROM drives can be added to the vast majority of Supermicro servers, but there are a few basic rules to keep in mind. With most rackmount chassis, we have to select a slim DVD drive so that it fits directly into the pre-prepared frame, here there are slight differences in size between the drive manufacturers, which will cause it not to fit optimally into the frame. In our offer, you will find the LG GTC0N drive, which is compatible with all slim positions in the Supermicro chassis. Each mechanism requires the mounting KIT MCP-220-81502-0N from Supermicro.
 
In the case of Supermicro tower servers, we follow the standard rules when choosing drives from a desktop environment, we can place any drive in the 5.25" frame, and no reductions are needed at the same time.
